Virtual
Balance™
The idea
of a flying carpet inspired the development of the Virtual
Balance™ interface for intuitive navigation through
virtual spaces by body movement. It consists of a platform
with three weight sensors yielding different signals
depending on the body's centre of gravity. The first
demonstration was a flight over the ancient city of
Xanten.
