Desert Rain

Desert Rain is a provocative and disturbing creation by the performance group Blast Theory working with the eRENA partners University of Nottingham and ZKM. A large-scale event installation, it is an exciting synthesis of art and technology, and of theatre and collaborative virtual reality, which offers to its audience a unique experience.

Inhabited Television involves combining broadcasting with shared virtual worlds running across a network. Illuminations, BT and the University of Nottingham have been working with this distinctive hybrid since 1996.
